McCormick 91

This is coming up for sale just a few miles up the road:

Would those be 40" rows?

How hard would it be to find a grain header for it (brome seed would be what I'd use it for)?

Any idea what something like that would sell for? 15 years ago I saw one just like it (except for the canvas cab) sell for $400 with both headers.

Nice looking machine. It has the mud shields on it and everything. I don"t see the rear weights on it, tho; If you buy it, see if those are available. You need them with that corn head mounted on it.

I think I paid $400 for my 91, with 1 grain platform head. I would love that corn head; should be a #25, for 36"- 40" rows; I will check my operators manual when I get home and let you know what spec is.

Best of luck!

Thats a sweet looking 91 IH...Heres the picture of it...Should be worth $750-1000...Those corn heads are for 38-40" rows..I have a rough 91 grain head thats sold to the junk man...He hasnt picked it up yet...I also have a 91 with a corn head that I need to sell..It was shedded but doesnt look as nice as that one.

This one is close enough I could road it home in an hour if I wanted to (what is top speed - 10 MPH or so?). I'll keep you in mind if I get it bought (kind of doubt it will happen though). The only use I'd have with it is to combine a little brome seed.

The oldest combine I've ever been around in operation is the 303 my dad had when I was a kid (a real little kid).

If you need a grain head for it, any head off of a 91, 93, 203, and i believe the 205 will fit. There still seems to be alot of those around WI. Actually, i am at an auction with 2 105 combines right now. Will see what they bring!

I didn't see it sell. It was 2:00 and they were still selling off the wagons and hadn't sold anything larger. I had to go into work and left.

There was a grain header (not mentioned on the sale bill) and the combine was easily in as good of shape as it appeared in the pictures. I'll talk to my neighbor - he was there and was very interested in it too. The 55+ year old tires were even in good shape - no cracking or dry rot. The seat had the original grey canvas cover that Hs & Ms had from the factory.

Well, hopefully a collector got it. Sounds way too nice of a machine to go to the s_______d. I wont even say it.

Anyway, those 2 105"s that I went to bid on went well. The white top 105 brought 1600, and the all red 105 brought 1200. I bid to 1150 on the red one, and thankfully I was outbid. Both went to new homes, and thankfully I did not have to buy either of them to "save" them. My farm needs other things than another combine right now, anyway.

I'm in louisiana but if you buy this and want to let the corn head go I may want it 318-542-0896.
