55 combine questions

i just inhereted a john deere 55eb combine and dont know much about them. im looking for what year it is without any luck. the serial number is 5574851. also looking for an inner unloading auger housing part number ah 20110h. if anyone can help i would really appreciate it. thank you

I'm sure someone here can help with the serial number. If it's an EB, would be late 60s.

As for the unloading auger part, that stuff is hard to find. Several years ago I rebuilt mine for our 105. I had a millwright roll a piece of steel the right diameter, and then I cut the right angles and welded it inside of mine with a mig welder. It took some time, but turned out really nice.

I'll look to see if I have any pictures of the completed piece.

It is a 1965, last year of the 55s.
