Gleaner K Variable Speed Issue

I started trying to find a fix for my combine (gleaner k) today, on the left side where the traction and main belt go on is crooked, standing looking at it the right side of the pulley needs to come towards me to get it in line. Someone has adjusted the left side clutch shaft drawbolt up all the way and the right side only about half way, so I loosened the bolts on the clutch shaft support plate and then set the left side drawbolt to the right side setting but I cannot get the support plate to slide back any. do I have to loosen both sides to move one? The original problem was the traction belt was wanting to ride up on the side of the pulley causing it to wear out fast so I need to get everything in line, I'm hoping getting both drawbolts set the same will help in that quest!

Does it have clamping bolt(s) as well as a draw bolt that pulls or pushes it?

Is the channel it rides in full of old dry goop?

Did it wear a tiny lip that it is caught on?

I just scored a Gleaner K2 F2 F3 service manual at the Pioneer Power show yesterday, 2 volume set. Got me some reading for the rainy week ahead.

yes it has the clamping bolts and draw bolt, there was some dried goop around it, I scraped it off and didn't see any lip or anything.

Paul, the issue is I'm trying to get the clutch shaft plate on the LH side to slide back and it won't budge, I loosened the right side today and it went back on its own, the book says to use the draw bolt to move it left or right but the draw bolt isn't long enough to push it back, when I remove the nut on the draw bolt and move it forward till it contacts something its no longer in the hole. So I'm just not really sure what to do here.
