Case 1665 pulley

Well I did it. I broke the pulley on the main drive shaft tring to remove it to replace the bearing. I hope it can be repaired, but if not, does anyone know where I might be able to find one? Also, does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove it? I believe it has a tapered shaft.

Thanks,
Dan B

If you have the broken piece, a good welder should be able to repair that. If I were doing it, I would braze the part back in place.

Doesn't look like there is a good surface to hook on with a puller and there are no bolt holes to attach to either. Must be a better way to get that pulley off, but I can't see it in the pic.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't sure if the pulleys from the smaller combines would work because they are different part numbers.

I don't see a good place to hook it to either. The upper pulley is lighter then the lower one. There is another one behind the upper one that is smaller. I'm thinking about getting a piece of metal to side behind it to pull against that way it spreads the load out.
