Taking a wild guess here, as I am not a Gleaner
man....
Ditto, check timing, and for lean condition.
Would pull and clean carb, and re-adjust both to
the specification from the engine or operators
manual. Get the 1 gallon Gunk carb cleaning
bucket; take carb apart and remove the o-rings,
seals and gaskets you want to keep, as the solvent
will dissolve them, and paint. Lt it sit 24 hours
or so in the bucket. Remove parts, clean them
again and blow out orfices, and re-assemble.
Then make sure that the carb is getting enough
fuel to the bowl. If your machine has a fuel
pump, measure the flow rate, while operating pump,
the delivery amount should be stated in the
manual.
If gravity fed, be sure the the sediment bowl is
clean, and that fuel flows very freely out of the
spigot on the sediment bowl. Leave the bowl off,
and open the spigot; catch the fuel in a clean
container for re-use. Note: if the sediment bowl
is on, and sealed properly, and the carb fuel bowl
is full of fuel, very little fuel will flow when
the spigot is opened, which is correct.
As for the temp gauge, it sound like an electric
gauge, so 1 of 3 things; either the sensor is
shorted to ground, or open (broken element), or
the wiring is shorted or open (broken wire). Or
the gauge is shorted, or open (broken windings).
The schematic should be in the manual; test
components and wire harness.
Good luck!
