Roger-Kansas Sale?

Hey Roger: What is the deal with your auction with Aumann? Sure wish you would have had the auction here in Kansas and saved us all the shipping cost from Illinois.

It was a tough decision to make. I always planned on selling my literature collection before I turned 65. I didn't want my daughters to have to deal with it. I took a great deal of pride in my literature collection and thought I had a very nice one. I did keep about 15/20 per cent of it.

I still have my tractors; about 65, 125 MM implements and 12 combines. They keep me busy.

My life has changed considerably over the last 10 years. My home was robbed last summer and the decision to sell was moved up. The tornado's that went through Moore Oklahoma last year made me rethink some other things also. I am moving some of my MM collection out to younger collectors. I am sending one of my G VI Molines to 71ford100 younger brother. And seriously ... do I really need nine G IV Molines?

If you buy something I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I will post the URL for it. My feelings are - I saved this once and by sending it to younger collectors I am saving it again.

But don't get the idea that I'm quitting and won't bid against you at an auction.

Yes Roger I agree, as we get older priorities change. However I don't think fear of tornado's should be a factor. My good friend had his entire farm wiped off the map two years ago April 15 just 5 miles west of me. If one hit here I would not want to live thru it but I won't sell out because of it. I was just shocked that you took everything to Illinois. I'll try to get some of it back to Kansas. Personally I'd sell all the G VI's. We bought one new in 1961, still have it. I still hate that gutless wonder of a tractor, takes 40 acres to turn it. I much prefered the GB over the G VI. Guess I'm showing my age.

Hope the sale goes well for you and I get a few bargains.
