Weight of a JD 95 ?

Friend of mine has a JD 95 with a pickup head on it. What's this weigh for scrap value ? I was guessing 5k lbs @ $70 a ton = $430. It hasn't ran in a few years sits outside in Western Nebraska.

I know a 55 is around the 4 ton mark. Since a 95 is just a 55 10 inches wider, I would think 5 tons would be close.

my book shows a 95 grain at 12350lbs, that should be with standard header, no cab, hillside model 15,500lbs,

By comparison, similar size Gleaner, like an F/F2, is around 9-10,000 for the base machine.

Your scrap price seems low. Central Ohio is currently $230/ ton.

I think my 45 with a standard head and a cab weighs around 7k according to the operator manual.

I'm supposed to go look at a pickup header for a 95. Does that pickup head have belts?

Took my 95 to the scrapper two years ago. It weighed 13,300 no cab but 14 ft platform and 9 foot pickup. Had fairly new tires that I took off that weighed 800 lbs. So I got paid for 12,800 lbs.

husker that must be the new math that you are using. you say 5K at $70 a ton thats 2.5 ton at 70= $175.00

Kent, I meant to say 5 Ton NOT 5 K !!! So, 5 Ton @ $70 = $350
