I don't know how common they were 50-60 years ago, but there aren't many of them now. That one looks complete and in decent shape. I've never seen one in person, just 2 or 3 in ads or here. There's one for sale on craigslist somewhere in WI...don't remember exactly where right now.
 
that is very worth saving ,,,only one I ever saw was at the big 4 ford dealers yard at mauckport ind ,,my brother and I were looking over the odd duck ways of the ford combine , while dad was getting mower parts , when dad come out , and seen us , he summed it up pretty well in a few words ,,ford shoulda stayed with just cars and trux

ford did a lot of little things back in the 50 s that are being used by the bigger companies today.I have a big dealers book of brochures that i have found lots of things like a pipe reel for the combines, The V closing wheels on a corn planter, etc
