Gleaner K in the works

I decided to venture into the non-green combine world. I made a deal yesterday on a Gleaner K with a 13' foot head. The machine is fairly clean and runs very smooth. Can anyone tell me what kind of capacity a K has in milo? My JD 3300 would do about 300 bu an hour if it would stay running. Also is it possible to put a diesel off a K2 into a K?

I would say it will have the capacity of the 3300. Limiting factor on a K is the short cleaning area of the machine. The less stalks and plumage you run through the machine the better the cleaning ability. I have never cut milo with mine. I can run about 3 MPH in 150-180 bu corn with a three row head, 2.5 MPH with 10 ft head cutting rank 50 bushel beans, and about 3.5 MPH cutting 60 bushel wheat with the same head. Good little machines if you take time to set them for the crop you are harvesting.
