I've got a family friend that has 2 Gleaner L2 or R2 combines. Can't remember which they are from the late 70's. they've got the straight cut, corn, bean pickup headers for them. Haven't seen them in several years but rode in them in early eighties. Diesel engines if I remember right. Header and machine trailers. Unsure on hrs but guessing around 2k hrs. What's something like this worth? They are and have alway been sheded. Western Nebraska .

L series were conventionals....R series were rotaries.....don"t think they had an R2. N rotaries were between the conventionals and the later rotaries that were worth taking home. Head prices vary a lot depending on which models, which mounts, which features. Need more info to establish a value.

L2 conventional combines from about then. Big boys of the day.

N5, N6, or N7 were the first rotaries could be an N7? These needed a lot of updates before they got good. Not looked at so good any more.

Then the R series replaced the Ns. That had to be in the 1990s.

Here is a Gleaner time line page.
