K Gleaner hydralics

I haven't started my old K for a couple of years. I started it today but couldn't get it to raise the header. It don't seem that the rod is moving that activates the hyd controls at the rear of the combine. I had a kid that helps me pull on the lever while I pecked on it but no reaction. Where do I start to figure this out? It is full of fluid. Thanks in advance Lee

Valve might be rusted stuck.

First thing to check is the header lock valve by the cab door is opened and not closed, If closed the head wont move up or down till its opened. Second thing would be to spray all the linkage with penetrating oil and the valve body to help loosen they up. They do get sticky from sitting. Bandit

Thanks for the help. I already checked the lock valve so tomorrow I will start with penetrating oil. I will post when I get it working. Lee
