Oliver 840 chopper. Again.

Well, it seems that this thing is up for sale
again. Just wanted to share, in case any of you
were looking for one.

I"m not related, nor do I have any interest in, the
sale of this thing; they are rather rare, however!

I can only imagine how much gasoline that thing must use, in heavy crop. I would imagine 10-12 gallons per hour. Eeeek.

On the other hand, it is nice to be able to open your own field. Finding a diesel one would be neat as heck!

Would be a nice piece to collect, but not use --I have a Fox SPF with a B427 Continental -flat head - that had a second gasoline tank added -They fuel consumption would be high! I also have a a Super D with a Continental overhead valve gasser as well - not sure of the CI"s.I got it from the original owner -a guy that used to haul wagons for him told me the manifold and exhaust would glow red when chopping at night -would have been a sight to see!!
