F2- longback versus shortback

Thinking about upgrading to a bigger machine. Currently running a Gleaner K. Looking at two F2's. One is a longback, one is a shortback. Price of longback about $1500 higher. Other than that, they are basically the same shape tirewise, paintwise, and mechanically. Is there an advantage to having the longback? More capacity? Better threshing? Cleaner grain?
Thanks.

Its all about cleaning capacity with the long tail. Every operator combines their crops in different ways and speeds. If you operate your machine in a slower speed the short tail will be fine but if you push the machine trying to "git it done" you would need the more capacity of the long tail. Some operators are hobby farmers and some want to bust *ss getting it finished. Ryan

Does the long shoe have the hyd unload auger? I don"t think that was available on the short shoe. That is very handy!

I ran a longback F2 for a lot of hours and in heavy wheat could run little faster and have clean sample over the shortbody , basicly just more cleaning area which is more capacity
