Yesterday I attended a farm sale 20 miles west of me..The owner was retiring and moving back to California where he originally came from....He had a 500 acre mostly creek bottom farm with a levee..It looked like a tough place to farm..
On the sale was a JD 9600 combine with 4051 engine hours and 2742 seperator hours...It had a new concave and cylinder bars...The right side drive tire was new...It received a bid of $21,000...
They then went to the JD 930F header and trailer...They received a bid of $2,800...They then put the two together and the bidding stalled out at $25,000...The owner said NO SALE..The combine market is soft and I think that he will have problems in selling it for much more..
The JD 6105D with H260 loader and only 192 hours sold for $53,000...
The 2950 JD with 148 loader and 5299 hours sold for $15.500..
The Belarus 6133 with 2824 hours sold for $5900..
The Massey Ferguson 2745 with 3534 hours sold for $4,100...It had 80% dual 20.8's and a weak hydraulic pump...
The New Holland LS 170 skid loader with 1530 hours sold for $13,000...
The Case-IH 5300 21 hole drill sold for $4,300...It showed very little use and still had 10 bushels of beans in the seed box..
The 1970 Plymouth Valiant with 38,377 miles sold for $3,000..The slant six was stuck and it had a California title..
The 17 ft Krause cutting disk sold for $1850...If I hadnt stopped the guy when he was leaving,he would have side swiped a pickup..
The last picture shows the farm...It had mostly been in milo in 2013 with lots of drown out spots..
