gleaner model from serial?

Looking at a gleaner combine on cl and trying to figure out the model. the owner gave me the serial number and am hoping someone can help me decipher it. He said the number on the combine is 18899, the engine is 385099 model6b-230. Thanks in advance for any help. Hoping it is similar enough to my fathers model A to use as a parts machine, and no I don't have the serial on it handy. Lol

The self-propelled Gleaners that I am familiar with have the Model preceding the serial number....ie, E, K, F, M, L, etc. Are you looking at an earlier pull-type?

Guessing by the engine number, it sounds like an A

It would have to be a 1958 model A Gleaner with the 6B-230 Buda engine..
