K gleaner transmissiom

How hard is it to remove and replace the transmission in a K gleaner? I am considering buying one with a non functioning transmission. Wondering what kind of a hornets nest I would be getting into.

Is the transmission bad or is the clutch out of it? A lot of difference in the amount of work need to fix it. Bandit

Not as easy as it should be. Any of the bigger machines had couplers with easily removable drive axles. If I remember correctly, the E,EIII,K, and K2 all had a solid drive axle coming out of the final drive. Fortunately I never had to get into one like that. But I think you have to remove both final drives before even thinking about removing the trans.

The guy says its the trans. I haven't looked yet because it is a good distance away.I thought I would check here before I got too serious. I already have a K with a good trans but a lot of little problems.I guess it would be easier to fix the little problems. Thanks for the help !
