John Deere 45 wheel width

What is the distance outside to outside on a JD 45 Combine? I suppose it varies based on tire size. If I buy I would like to haul on a 7 X 18, 10000 lb trailer. Is it too much combine for the trailer?

Thanks

Dished out they are 90" center to center. That will fit on a trailer.Or you can reverse them to 'dish in' to get narrower.

Thanks for the reply. I thought about reversing wheels but did not know if they would clear the machine on the inside.

The 1964 JD 45 I just had delivered last week was exceptionally wide with axle extensions. 8'6" from outside front tire to outside front tire. I had it delivered by a double-drop deck on a semi.

The '56 roundback I have is much closer to 7' wide I believe.

I would have it measured to be sure.

Either way, that trailer is going to pull like a mule. It's going to take up most of your trailer even without the header. Without the header it should only be around 6k-7k lbs, but it holds it's weight high, anything over 45mph on a trailer that size, and it may want to start swaying on you like crazy. If you're only going a short distance slowly, you should be safe, but you might want something bigger to haul it, if you're doing much highway driving.

If there"s no head on it, you can flip the wheels in no problem, same if there"s a grain head on it. I know the wheels cannot be dished inward with a 234 corn head.
