I evolved to , pikin 3 rows 1 way ,, scoopin up a mass of stalks bridged up on the corn head ,, then I turned around and piked with 3 rows the other side of 6 rows ,,guys that worked pretty good ,, by the time I got to the end the outside 3 rows had cleared out and the current rows were bridged in a hale of a mess ..,, in the end I had 300 bushels on the truck ,, went to cgb in Jeffersonville ind with a sample ,it throwed them for a loop .they didn't know what to do with white corn ,,and they turned me away ,,..nutin wrong with corn , It Just NEEDED TO BE YELLOW...anyway , my brother will use half the load ,, anyone else need the rest of 150 bushel or so ??? ... used to be someone in ky that was payin nice premium for white corn for I think corn meal ,,. sure wisht I knew contact info,,all help appreciated ,,, thanx jim h.

We grew it for years half of our crop and all the other farmers was always white corn we had it hauled out to a mill in Chattanooga until it burnt down they say there is a place in Decatur GA. OR AL. that still buys that is to far for you I guess.

Advertize it in local papers.Someone will buy some to make hominy. We used to take some to NewMexico(Gallop area). The Indians would buy it.I was told it had some kind of 'religeous' significance. You will sell it,but it may be 100lbs at a time...

For several year's I use to grow several acres of indian corn for decoration. Shelled what I didn't use and hauled to elevator. It was mixed with regular corn and they bought it and didn't say a word. Also know a guy that grows about 10 acres of both white and indian corn and sells excess at local elevator and they buy like regular corn without any problem.

Would a local feed mill buy it? I know nothing about the protein and starch content of white corn, but I wouldn't think 150 bushels would affect anything if it was mixed with 100 tons of feed. Jim

certainly ought to be able to get it all peddeled out,,.got I t listed on craigs list 12 bux per hundred ,.,nice discount for 50 bushels or more,,. local feed mill will take some whenever they need it,. in the past I used to toss any excess white corn on the load and sell it with regular corn ,, and everyon e was happy,, shux this year cgb has 1 .3 million bushels bulked out on the ground up there at jeff ,,. I could spread 150 bu on that pile and nonoe would ever know ...I just want to get it out of my care as quikly as possible...

Anybody that buys corn for feed should buy it. Two places here in south Tennessee pays a premium but we sell under a contract that calls for limited foreign matter, no more that 6% cracked grains and dry. Got quite a bit in bin now waiting for May delivery.

Is there an ethanol plant in your area? A neighbor of mine used to grow a large amount of white corn for a local tortilla factory. The last year he grew it he needed to quickly sell some of it that he couldn't sell to the tortilla factory and so he just took it to the local ethanol plant. They apparently didn't care what kind of corn they got.
