Another big thank you Blain!! I really like those type of pictures. Those old combines really made life easier for the farmer in more ways than one. They eased the harvest and the farmer was able to do his own repairs.!
We have traveled in the eastern part of Co. , beautiful country, but very rain dependent. clint

Thanks for posting again! Someday I would love to drive out that way and not be in a hurry to go somewhere.....

Thanks for the trip, still a lot of old machinery out there yet. That versatile salvage yard would be interesting, between dad, brother and I we have we have 6 of them.

Thanks for the pictures Blaine, haven"t been on here for a while. I worked on a project there in Johnson City and saw the MM sitting in the county museum there and thought of you at the time. Got some pictures of it myself. Lot of other neat stuff there too.

Thanks for the wonderful trip. Seems like I was along with you!!.

I always look at the old machinery with highly mixed emotions. I just hate to see the stuff sitting unused, but realize most of it, if not all, is worn beyond being useful to any farmer interested in making a profit.

But still it points to a huge waste too in that this metal could be put to good use in newer machines.

Certainly it"s a problem that isn"t easily solvable. I know others have said there may come a time when we will need to go back and make these old machines useable again.

Drop an email if interested in further chats.

enjoyed the photos. Wasn't too many years back those old gleaner A's and C's were still working in my part of Ne.
