1957 JD 55

Brought this combine home a couple of weeks ago. 1957 55 that's been shedded. Last used 30 years ago. Looks better in person then in the pic. Except for one thing. It sat with gas in the tank and now is almost unusable. Does anybody have a new old or really good condition gas tank laying around for one of these they want to sell?

I found it 30 miles from home. And its the 2nd one I've picked up lately. This one was only 18 miles from home and was shedded. Last used in 1985 or so. Its not a clean as the 2nd 55 but still good. Its also a 1957.

I also might add that the 2nd 55 was 1 day away from being scrapped. It is actually a minor miracle that is wasn't.

Neighbor had a JD 55. It was the first combine I run. Was new in 1954 and went on the wheat harvest for about 5 years. I would like to find a machine close to home in good shape.

A couple of beautiful old JD 55's....That would have been a shame if that one got scrapped....Nice early 55's are getting hard to find..
