I can combine just TWO more days!The old Fords have cut 925 acres of wheat so far this year and we only like 80 acres being finished.The problem is that we are getting just enough rain each day now to hold up cutting and I am afraid the green weeds are going to be higher than the wheat if we wait much longer.Our local elevator built a new grain handling outfit this year after the fiasco we went through with corn last year trying to get unloaded but we got the call two days ago that all the bins including the big new outfit is full of wheat and they were actually dumping dry wheat in the peanut warehouse which is unheard of around here.The warehouse is supposed to hold around 150,000 bushels and it will be full in no time.The big worry now is that our corn crop will be ready in less than eight weeks and I am mighty afraid there is not going to be any room for the corn if they cant move the wheat out fast enough.

The tall weeds can sometimes be a challenge but they can be dealt with. You can set the combine to where you still get just the wheat and get very little green stuff. Mike
