Steve, I always used OEM bars but if I was in your shoes I believe I would go with the Shoup bars. There will be proponents of the Ausherman bars but in my estimation they are too aggressive and make it too easy to damage grain. An original equipment bar in a properly adjusted combine will work very well, thank you. To me, the aggressive bar just masks over other symptoms the operator hasn't taken care of. I'm sure we'll hear screams shortly because of that statement but I've cut beans that were as green as they were in July with original equipment bars and got along just fine.
