I see guys talking about using Fox choppers on here. Can parts still be boughten for them???

Also what ever happened to the Fox company. AT one time there where quite a few Fox choppers around here. Including one self propelled one. It had a Detroit diesel on it. You could hear him chopping miles away. Looked a lot like the ones in the pictures. No cab open station. The owner/farmer would be black with the corn dust/smut. He opened up a lot of field around here. He really could fill a wagon fast. Did a good job too.

Yes, at least some parts for some models...
I run a 4310, one of the last series of pull types they made. So far, everything I've needed has been available. Only run into one part NLS for my Fox flail chopper. (toothed ring for turning the spout) Will have a local machine shop make that when needed. Fox (I think it was Fox-Brady at the time) was bought out by Hiniker. They're in MN... Mankato, I think. They've been good to deal with.

i have a 6250 self propelled fox, and a 1961 SPF, the first self propelled, that needs restoring. i get parts for the 6250 from norris works in east enterprise, indiana. they have a lot of NOS parts and are having some pieces remade new.

Yes, Norris and Barry have nice operation. They get a few of the cables and stuff made custom per application. They actually had the throttle cable for my diesel Super D in stock, when Hiniker was NLA on it; came in the box from the company they had make it for them.

I am glad that they are around; they have been able to help me out every time I have called them, or needed parts for my pair of Super D"s (1 gas, 1 diesel)

Ex Dearler down the road has some left over parts from Fox Equipment they sold. & Have some Parts Machines around there .
