But man it has been a heck of a job! This is going on 5 weeks of replacing virtually everything on this one.I replaced every bearing and worn part on this one and then sandblasted and painted the whole thing.I got the new style wobble box mounted and it sure does run smooth compared to the old pittman arm that Claas originally used.I am down to the point of rebuilding the reel and it also has been a job.I wound up building all new bars for the boards and tines to mount to and got it sandblasted and painted over the weekend.Just a word of caution to all of you that want to blast and paint a project like this,You better pack your lunch because blasting and painting is as physically demanding as any job you will ever do but it sure is nice to see the final outcome.Anybody want to come help drill the holes and bolt on 285 new tines on the reel? Thats one job I think I WILL let my daughters help me with.
