1206 is rite about the Palouse area. Not a lot of heavy rains along with a limited amout of rainfall. I was in the Palouse in the 1950 s at harvest time. Got to drive a John Deere 55 that was a manual leveling machine. Had a hyd. valve rite by my rite hand and a little bubble level taped to the pipe railing. Was no prob to keep it level. Was very lucky to run a International TD 14 with 2, 3 or 4 bottom plows hooked onto it. Both trip rope lift. Very different plowing with a crawler on those hillsides, like about 45 degree slope!. Sure was a thrill for this farm kid from the Ill. flat lands! clint |
