Walking around today on the old family farm, originally purschased from the US in 1854 and then forced to sell in 1965 back to the US for the Stockton Lake in Missouri.
Found the old pull type just south of where one of the barns used to be. Guess it was not worth hauling off for scrap then.
First time I had been back since I was a little tyke. I think of ancestors not known to me but by name. My GGG Grandfather came from Kentucky and purschased the land. Direct family lived on it until it was taken for the lake. Of course, this part of the farm was on the high ground where the lake does not cover.
