Was that consignment sale happening today? Any idea if the 105's are headed to China or if perhaps some hobby farmer found a soft spot in his heart for them?

The sale is next weekend.Hate to get rid of them, but they had to go.....I will let you know the outcome. Steve

Maybe you have answered this before but out of curiosity i have to ask. Why do you prefer the 95's over the 105's? i have seen your corn harvest pics and made the assumption that the 105 would be the way to go. BTW i enjoy all the pics you and everyone else post on here. In my area there are very few combines over 15 years old running. Coming on here is one of the few opportunities for me to see these ol'beasts. I run a 7720 myself, I really like that machine tough to beat for reliability and ease of operation and service(until you have to lift that seat up LOL). Always wished deere would have kept the motor out back on them though.

I have always wanted a 95/4 row.The 105 was basicly just purchaced for the 443 cornhead and new tires.I was only considering useing the 105 if the 95 didn't workout(it did). The 105 diesel was a moment of weakness(brainfart).I heard too many horror storeis of excessive gas consumption.I started the 'combine project' with a good 95 as the end result.figured I needed to stay 'on trac',and I went to Kansas to get it(95).I felt a 105 is just too big,a 95 is a perfect size for my operation.

They are definitely nice machines. And in the throw away world we live in its nice to see people still willing to work hard to preserve and operate these machines that may be old but have a lot of life and acres ahead of them.

I'm anxious to hear where they end up. If the road between us wasn't so long I would have surely been looking hard at that diesel 105.
