In the mid 60s we switched to a 151 SP. After a couple of seasons an Osceola Line cab was added.

Look at all that red paint; simply wonderful! Is that an IH rake behind that truck?

Thanks for sharing! The openness of the plains always amazes me. It is rather woodsy here in NE WI, and there is/was a dairy farm about every 40 - 60 acres.

Thanks again.

For lpg the tractor I have and use 930 Case, the lpg is about the same cost wise to operate compared to diesel. They burn about twice as much but the price is half so roughly it comes out about the same. Biggest advantage I think is the fact that the engines are MUCH cheaper and simpler to repair compared a diesel, and they run a long time before major work is needed usually. I was told that early on they used LP heavily here in Okla due to it being so cheap. Today many think that a big lpg tractor is not efficient, I disagree.

No fuel dilution to reduce the engine oil performance, I assume?

I never really used an LPG engine; the forklifts we use are all LPG, but I have never had to work on the engine on any of them yet. Now I know why!

Yes the oil stays very clean on them. Usually non detergent oil is used in lp and natural gas engines. I believe they typically use harder valves in them. From what I have seen they are less prone to burn oil also and I don"t know why. They do tend to run for a long time. lp natural gas power is a Very good thing overall I think.

I farmed for many, many years useing M-M L P G tractors. when farming rented ground away from home , it was great. No one would steal it from the tractors or my 500 gal. tank.
Much longer between oil changes also.
We have 3 M-M LPG tractors in our collection now, even tho I am retired from farming. clint

Dad had two 140's and later a 150 pull type, I got the 150 out of the trees when I started farming to do my wheat and oats, my 1650 Oliver worked really nice on it, I once forgot the wrench on the cylinder shaft after slugging it. I threw the pto into gear and I am pretty sure that Sputnik never got as high in the air as that wrench did!
