This truck and combine used to be a very nice display just south of Manchester Oklahoma. It has been there for about 20 years. I am sure upkeep is difficult. I can remember when rigs like this traveled through the country.

Boy I bet the D.O.T. would have a field day on that! Kinda reminds us that harvesting has not always been about $300k combines with push button everything and 40' headers. If this rig could talk I bet it could tell some stories.

I remember when our neighbor hauled his 82 Masseys that way all the way from Texas to Canada. The year my Dad decided to partner with him on the run they bought Gleaners so they could take the heads off easy but still hauled them on the trucks. I have a couple pictures of the machines on the trucks I need to get posted here.

That brings back some memories. First combine I ever operated was an 82 Massey with 12 ft. head. Haven"t seen one for many years. Dad traded it later that year for an E Gleaner. Had Gleaners ever since.

Yes that is quite a piece of history. I have never seen a truck cab used as aheader stop before LOL. BIL has rented a farm for close to 40 years where a similar combine sits, shedded, last out in the daylight in the late 70's....hmmmmmmm
