Putting a little shine back on Gleaner galvinized

I imagine this has been asked before but still...what's the best/most practical way to clean up or brighten the galvinized sheet metal on a Gleaner?

White vinegar is probably the safest to remove any oxididation. you can improve the finish but if the metal has darkened you may not ever get it to look like the bright zink finish. I used vinegar on my f3 and was pleased, I also put a light coat of wax on after I finished.

SOS soap pad, used lightly will bring the shine back like new. I've done it with 1938 thru 1972 models with great success.

boiled linseed oil, worked great on our thresher to bring it back.
