Yesterday afternoon I went by that rough 123 McCormick combine again...I wanted to get the serial number and get some better pictures..I wish that I had brought a wire brush with me to see the serial # better.. Anyways I found out its serial # 123G 10547..You can barely make it out in the first picture..Its been pushed around with a dozer and there not many useable parts on it.Its too bad the motor is open because I could use it.. Heres some other pictures.. Nice running 1026 IH Hydro that I drove yesterday.I'd never been in the seat of one before. 1256 IH Wheatland that just came in.. 210 Allis at a salvage yard..$5500 but no grill. English Fordson I may buy The Marais des Cygnes River NE Of Rich Hill,MO..I've never seen it so low..You can walk across it..In July 2007 it almost covered the bridge I'm standing on. Huge barn near Milford,MO..I'm zoomed in and its about 3/8th mile off the road. You can drive in to the loft from the west side..This picture doesnt do it justice...Some day I may ask if they would let me see it close up.. Row of salvage JD combines. 705 MM thats waited for years for someone to buy it. Ruts filled with water at the salvage yard 25 miles away..They get lots more rain than us. |

| Thank you for the pictures of your travels and " finds", Blain. I wish you and I lived closer , As I would like to travel with you. I have a weakness for "doing" ag. salvage yards. I think it can turn into a "sickness" , doing salvage yrds.L O L. I cannot seem to overcome it. I think I know where that yd. is at with all the muddy tracks and trees. We were at a yd that looked like it a few yrs. ago, they had a crusher on site crushing all kinds of machinery. Keep the pictures commming. clint |

| My uncle bought a 1026 brand new. Still has it. All it's ever done was plant corn and make hay. His is a hydro. He also has a 1086 and a 574. |

| | Too bad that combine was treated that way. I always say parts are parts, but not this time. Nice looking barn. Will have to post some pictures of our barn sometime. Jim |

| Also, the Two Ten is priced right if the engine and tranny are in good shape. |

| | Performance of the 123 was pretty low compared to other machines on the market at that time. That's why most of them disappeared when they were sent to the scrap. That one would be a money pit for sure. If you want one to restore, look for something that is in better condition - there should be lots of them that are a better overall buy than that one. |

| | Dick,no one is going to restore this combine..It isnt even a good parts machine..I didnt see a thing on it that I could use for mine.. You must not have read the thread below that shows the 123 that I hope to restore some day.Its a decent 100% original combine purchased in western Kansas.. Very few 123's survived and decent original ones are getting almost impossible to find..Believe me I know..I have a fairly complete 123 sitting in western Kansas that I'm not even going to haul 400 miles home due to the expense.. |

| I see the Dagenham UK built Fordson N has a water washer air filter. This dates it 1932 to 1937, I hope you can buy it then you can pick my brains a little. MJ |
