A good friend had a Red cab MF 750. He had fairly good luck with it. It was a gear drive the shifter on the column was a real PIA to shift. The Perkins engine was good but the machine was real hard to work on.

yes those masseys are ggood machines,but ,, i had a harrowing learning experience in my 1st season , you can search archives under stupid .in my opinion 750s are better to work on than the 300s ,, more elbow room ,,but taller to climb around,, perkins motors are wonderful ..bottom line ,,. with all those movin parts any older machine of any color will require some wrenching,,

I wonder why they didn't use the console mounted shifter on all of them like they did on the 540. The shifter was a huge step forward on them. My 550 isn't the best shifting, but at least it is a hydro.
