I have a 6620 i have been running for 4 years. never had any major problems. The other day I was cutting beans and when I was going up hill with the grain tank nearly loaded I heard what sounded like belts slipping and the combine slowed to a crawl once I unloaded things were back to normal. I left that farm to go to another a few miles away and I noticed it slowed a bit going up hills on the road. would this be the hydrostat going bad or somthing more simple? Any thoughts on what I could check? Thanks in advance.

It could indeed be your drive belts slipping. The larger combines have an automatic belt tensioner when the demand is there. However, the 6620 operates on straight tension as set by you. Check to see if the belts are tight and adjust according to your book. Mike
