What is the difference in Dakon boxes (different model numbers)? What is the capacity of a 231 compared to a 250, each without extensions?

I don't know for sure, but I think its a measure of corn bushels. Level full. I never had one that held what it was advertised without the ol 12" extensions around the top though.

IF you have access to measure the wagons, go to google and search for "gravity wagon calculator" and it will tell you what to measure and then calculate for you the cubic foot measurement and then convert by dividing cu. ft. by 1.25 and this will get you real close on bushels. Remember that test weights of different grains will either give you more bushels or less. Hope this helps.
