1947 Model 55 JD Combine For Sale On Ytmag

Yes,its overpriced but theres not many 1947 model 55 JD"s left..I"d value it at close to $1000..The problem is the scrap man will pay more for it,so it has driven the value up on all old combines...

We were out driving around yesterday and found (4) MM Uni Harvesters on one farm not 15 miles from me..I did some research and the owner just passed away..

About 4-5 years ago I found a Oliver 33 and 40 JD combines on a farm 20 miles away...The elderly owner said that they would never be for sale as his Dad bought the Oliver new...We went by there yesterday and every thing was gone including the buildings..

Went on down the road a few miles and found another 40 JD sitting outside....These were all in the same neighborhood..There used to be two 95 JD"s in that area too plus theres a shedded one owner 80 Massey in that area...The guy with the Massey has a low hour one owner 1206 Farmall..

I know of one very similar to this one near Ada, OK, that has the unloading auger. Don't know about 1947, but it is one that the unloading auger doesn't fold. We used to have to pull the auger to move from field to field.

Actually, I think he had two of them, but when I called him a few minutes ago, he couldn't remember what happened to the other one. I remember cutting oats with it about 20 years ago. Don't believe I have ever got dirtier.

If anyone is interested, I could check serial numbers next week.
