Did JD make a 2r 30" cornhead for a 55?I know of one on a JD40 that went to the scrapper several yaers ago.Was thinking it would be 'fun' to use the ole 55 for corn-and as a'back up' if the 95 ever went down. Thanks,Steve

I think the answer is no... just a 3 row. I don't think a 55 is narrow enough to go down 2 30" rows.

The 334 and 335 could fit the 55, did the 313?

According to what Ive read, the 313 would work on both 45 and 55,with the correct mounting 'kits'

Steve, Deere never made a 2-row 30" head to fit on a combine. They did make a 243 for use on silage choppers and the 300 corn picker but they never specified it for combine use. You have to go to 3-rows to get a 30" head. Mike

Seen one A few years ago someone narrowed a 3 row down to 2. (Or could have been a 4.) Could tell it was cut down But was a fairly clean job. Was a Deere head but not sure what #.
