Massey Ferguson 300 combine

Had a fellow that I rent ground from ask me to look at a this combine to see if I thought it needed to go to scrapper or possibly be sold to collector or someone who would want it to fix for use or show. Machine has set in a closed shed on concrete for about 18 years. Paint would look good with a cleaning, tires were cracked a little but all were holding air, had the typical mouse smell, gas in tank had turned black, and has the slant six Chrysler engine. 13' rigid head with wood bats.I think the machine is to good to be scrapped and needs a home where it will be loved and hated at the same time. It is located about 10 miles NE of Quincy Illinois. If interested, reply back and I can get pictures of machine on here for you.

I have pics and will have my daughter try to post them tonight. Owner and myself never really discussed a price. I did tell him he would have to be easy on the folks that are interested and if someone was truly interested in the machine to work on a price that both parties would be happy with. Thanks for the replies.

Pics of machine. If interested let me know and I will get you in contact with owner and you two can negotiate a price.

That combine is Cherry! It hasn't sat out a night in its life, and I bet that guy is the original owner..
Wow, I bet its not even close to MN. Don't let him scrap that Gem!

Looks like a fescue machine, with the Old Milwaukee beer, flaps on a bat reel, grain tank baffle cut out and hopper extensions. Just needs the carb wrapped in aluminum to prevent vapor lock.

That is a good looking machine. Has it got a corn head? I need something for corn. How tall is massey 300? I like the "loved and hated part"
My dad had some MH combines when I was a kid. I have some old case combines now but I would like to take on a old massey...

I saw a old roof mower in one of the pictures. I am looking for a roof mower. The ones with the open blade up front and the skinny high drive wheels that you walk behind... Do they want to sell the old mower?

Let me know if he changes his mind or if a buyer does not want the chopper. I am close and would like to have it. Thanks.

It does not have a corn head. I do not know if he would sell the walk behind mower or not. His email has been posted so you could contact him and see. Never know until you ask.

I know he is like me and probably doesn"t check e-mail very often. Be patient as I am sure he will get back to you.
