My neighbor offered me his 1680 and a 1010 header foe $9,500 dollars. The combine is a short screen machine with a cummins engine and is a 4 wheel drive. Showing 3800 hours on the clock. The combine is field ready needs nothing. Any thoughts on wheather this is a good buy?

I hope it's already in your shed! That would be a steal even without the head, especially if those are the actual engine hours, 4x4, cummins, and field ready to boot.

I know the machine and it's a good one. I just dont need another combine hard to pass it up though.

If its a good one that price is great. I have twice that in a 1660 with 3400 hrs and a 1020. Mine has twice the capacity of the two it replaced and is much more comfortable to run.

Jump on it, I am looking for one and they are all $30000 or more for a good one with fewer hours.
