murphy switch on 750 massey

750 wont run .need a little help from those that know .. the murphy valve should clik when turning on the switch ,RITE ??, i amm tempted to run a new wire to the switch,, is there a fuse in line somewhere ,, have not changed fuel filters yet ...

It's ok...BREATHE, lol. Sounds like you are typing out of breath. There should be a button you hold in until it builds oil pressure when you start it. If it is like the ones I have seen they do click when power is applied. If it doesn't I would check the wiring first. Check for sys. voltage at the valve. If there is none work your way back, if there is, then you have either a lack of fuel flow to the valve or the valve is sticking.
 
Just bypass the switch. Run a jump wire to the actual murphy fuel shut off, if I remember right it is on top of the fuel filters.
 

We have 3 masseys parted out with wires from the Murphy switch in the window and a 'gather clip.
You need oil pressure to trip the main relay to put power to the Murphy switch, on gray cabs. Pushing the override helps them start faster.
