hey my father just got a old heston 200 swather was wondering if they made any attachments other then the crimper...

Don't know the Hesston models, but my brother has an old Case that was made by Hesston. The air cooled Wisconsin has been pulled off and replaced with a Case water cooled engine with more HP.

Man,that machine is OLD.I serously doubt if Hesston(Agco) still offers any "accessorys" for it.My brother once had a '500'.It was old when he purchaced it in the late '70s.His was equiped with the auger header/crimper and the 4 cyl ford(172)industrial.A draper and air cooled Wisconsin were optional.I think a diesel was available.

The information I have does not make mention of any attachments other than the hay conditioner.

Just for folks information, here is a little history on the model being asked about. The 200 was the second model of windrower that Hesston built. The first, the 100, was essentially the same design that Hesston had purchased from the original inventor, an Iowa machine shop owner and Ford dealer by the name of Lawson. This first model proved to be incapable of handling heavy hay crops (it was intended mostly for grain swathing) so the 200 was designed and offered for sale starting in 1956. Times were tough at Hesston in those days and the company considered selling the whole windrower program to New Holland but this obviously did not happen. The 200 was also sold by Cockshutt; in 1957 alone they ordered 500 units from Hesston. Case also marketed this machine and continued to re-brand Hesston windrowers for quite a few years. In 1960 the 200 was replaced by the 240.

yea heavy hay didn't work cause the crimper was ran off the drive wheels my grandfather modified his to run off the motor n it worked better
