Going over the top.

This is what it looks like loading combines on the drop deck. The back deck is only 40 inches high, it seems a lot higher. These photos do not really let you know what loading is like.

1. Looking down through the steering wheel as you come up on the back deck.
2. Looking a little straighter out the front window.
3.Setting level on the back deck.
4. This is what you see when the combine breaks over onto the bottom deck.
5. Looking slightly down (steering wheel is at bottom of picture) as you are nearing the top.
6. If you are looking fairly straight forwards like driving down the road, this is what you see just as you near the top of the back deck.

It's a year old S 77 Gleaner with duals. Makes it 18 ft. 4 in. wide. Easier to load with duals than singles. The inside dual fits on the rail, singles you only get half the tire on. If they have spacers you get 1/3 of the tire on and need someone to help load. When the S 77 was introduced I hauled the demonstrator machine around in this area. Logged several thousand miles hauling one with duals on it.

Roger,I'm glad that its you and not me...Whats really fun is loading and unloading a lever steer 91 IH on a gooseneck trailer..
