Good purchase price for an average, working AC round baler?

Wondering what an "all average" AC small round baler would cost, looking at it from the buyers perspective. Anything out of the ordinary one would need to be aware of??
Just curious, Ralph.

I paid I think $45 for mine about 4 years back. I put new used tires on it and hauled it home, greased it up and made about 100 bales before breaking a belt.

Since it was really for nostalgic purposes its parked waiting for somebody to either buy or make new belts for it...

i bought 2, both white tops , last year made , amost show room. one i paid $700 for the other i paid $600 . took both right to field and baled hay. the high dolloar one , we baled close to 700 bales in a couple of short afternoons ,i know they were high but both bought at auctions, so i guess someone was ALMOST as crazy as me, just not quite

I paid $400 for a very nice white top that was only used one year.. It was then put in the shed and never used again..It had only baled 1632 bales..My brother worked at our AC dealer and was the one that delivered it new..I only had to pull it 5 miles home..

Not long after that I saw a comparable baler to mine sell for $750...Most AC round balers sell in the $100-300 price range depending on the condition..

Paid $150 for mine last year. Took 2 tires and rims and towed it 10 miles home. It was in a pile of scrap and the guy pulled it out before it was too late. It was never used very much and was all complete even down to the ball hitch. An option? The belts were even pretty good. Trouble using it, is picking up the darn bales....Ron

I have a couple I would sell. One has the electric "fast wrap" clutch on it. Sure does tie fast. When I still had Cattle I would bale all my prairie hay and leave it in the medow all winter and pick it up as I needed it in the winter. Great low cost way to put up prairie hay. I'd take $750 for the fast wrap machine, 400 for the standard.

Just sold a white top Roto baler with less than 500 bales through it on my father in laws auction last month. It Brought $ 1500
