9500 vs 9600 feeder house width

I know that a feeder house on a 9600 is wider than a 9500 but will a head interchange without having to change anything? I'm looking at a head but it seems that the opening for the throat is wider in the picture than the present head I have for my 9500.

The feeder house mounting/opening is the same on all JD heads newer than 1973. The drives maybe different but the opening is the same. They did move a brace that is beside the opening after the JD 20 series came out because of the reverser. The JD 9500 and JD 9600 will use the same heads.
