6600 auger pan repair

Have been duct taping and pop riveting some tin onto the auger pan on this 6600 for a few years now. I am talking about the one under the augers that carry the grain away from under the concave. It is getting to the point all of the pans need plating. The outside ones I can get to, but the middle ones I cannot. Is that pan made to come out from under the combine? It looks like it won't come out of there with the transmission in? Has anyone rebuilt one in the combine? Thanks for any information.

You are talking about the shoe auger pan??? If you are then yes you can replace it. Just remove the shoe auger drive shaft and sprockets. Loosen the plate that the shoe auger bearing go on. raise it up a little and then you can work the pan out. It is easier with the feeder house off and out of your way. You don't have to have it off but it makes it easier.

Yes, that is the pan I am talking about. Thanks for the information, I figured it was made to come out, but wasnt sure the best way to go about it, Thanks.

I've been getting by with slathering up some screen wire and "Great Stuff" foam insulation in a can to get by. Thanks for the information!
