small combine--I'm surprised nobody is trying to market this

I can't help but believe that would be a whole lot handier as a pull type rather than a mounted machine
 
The only advantage I can think of about this setup over a pull-type is in soybeans or peas, you can watch the cutterbar as closely as you would on an SP.
 
Lots bigger than some of the self propelled rice combines I saw in Japan. They were about 1 meter(3') cut with the operator seated on top of the straw walkers.
 
Tim: I think that looks great. Way back< I ran a JF for a day on a Fordson Super Major and it was doing a good job, but seeing the cutterbar was impossible as I was about two feet too short. I like the idea of the cutterbar right beside you and yes, I think it would work in wet fields much better than a pull type (says the guy who put 18x26's on a Massey Clipper once upon a time)
