Is there any interest out there in New Idea Cornpickers(2 row-Mounted). I am clening up my parents Farm to sell and we have one in the trees and I was thinking of leaving it or have the scrap people take it.I can get more info if there is any interest and I'm sure the price would be reasonable. It was a more modern one but was parked and never used again in 1967 when they got a Corn head on the combine.

My cousin and I have our grandfathers model 20. Yours sounds like the same model.

cleddy: I am sure there is but you are asking just when most that would buy are out in their fields wrapping up this years harvest.. I know one who posts here once in a while who has a couple New Idea pull type as an example. Intrest starts up next Spring/Summer after the crops are planted and they know they need to be thinking about Harvest equipment.. Better luck then.. By the way, where is this picker located and what type tractor was it mounted on?? thanks.. ag

I'm In Eastern Nebraska and they ran it with a WD Allis Chalmers. I think it was a little much for the tractor in the hills since our wagons were built out of Model AA ford trucks with 7 ft x 14 ft beds with 18" sides and at least 2 side boards on each side. The Husking bed tailed behind the tractor on 2 small swivil tires. I have been rebuilding one of the old wagons so proably could load it and take it somewhere else. I'll post some pictures just for those interested.cleddy

The caster wheels mean that's an earlier mounted, from the 50s. Not too many of them left. Too bad you're not closer to Indiana . . . there's someone there who'd love to get his hands on it.
