Case 22-36 thresher

This jewel is located on the farm I am leasing, and I am trying to buy the farm and all the old iron. There is also two complete JD binders, one ground drive, one PTO, to go along with the thresher. I`m new to threshers, anybody want to fill me in on any details of this one? I think she can be made to thresh again fairly easily, the trees have protected it well, all of the shafts and gears spin free, and I can still adjust the straw chute by hand. some of the wooden parts are rotted, but I can make those, and there is no rust to speak of. It last threshed oats for scottish highland cattle in the `60s, then was replaced with a Gleaner combine. The current owner has color pics threshing oats and wheat with it in the `50s and `60s.

That"s a early thresher, built somewhere from 1920 to 35, I think. The later ones you could swing open the straw blower section of the thresher to get at the grain pan and sieves. We have rebuilt a 22-36 and a 28-47 that we used in our threshing show. That one is pretty far gone and the price of making belts would be expensive.
