If I read the tag right, it is a Case SP-12 ???
If so 1206SWMO, add me to the registry list! And if you win the friendly wager with 5020 guy, can I have a piece of your tater (I'll leave the steak for you..lol)??
Still in TX Panhandle, but soon at my home in SW OK. Only one other bidder, a scrapper from CO! (Because one will need a helicopter to get her out!!)

Ralph, congrats on the purchase of your SP-12 Case...Looks pretty straight..I take it that its in the middle of nowhere...There has to be a story..Thanks for all of the pictures..

Its been so long since I've added an SP-12 serial number to the list, that I'd almost forgotten about the wager..I have around (30) SP-12's on the list right now..

High as scrap is I expect that lots have been junked in the past 4-5 years..

Heres a picture of mine from Dec 2007 when it was sitting near Catesby,OK..

Even though prices came down, in Altus, OK around 120-140 per ton, they are worse tha flies around the s*** pile!! Still. Was at an auction near Amarillo, TX yesterday (that's where I picked them up (1/2 of a Case M, the SP-12, the above JD 55 and an old turtleback (12A) with engine. Story will follow AFTER I recover them....you understand...
They had about 50 plus antique tractors there over half of them MMs, all but 6-8 went to the scrapper for 500-650 a piece, lot of them still running, decent rubber. I really didn't want to but ended up with a running 1951 MM UTS, propane, with really good rears. I won't keep her, but I figure the rears are at least worth the cost of purchase. Hoping to find a good home for it, wouldn't mind trading for a combine or so... (seeing the corn head and 2 gleaners go to scrap in KS made and still makes me sick!!! Arggghhhh! Wish I'd known, would have let you bid for me!!!
Ralph in OK.

Ralph,I would have been glad to have bid on the Gleaners for you..Both engines ran fine..I had mentioned the sale on here while you were gone..If I had the shed room I would have bid on the E Gleaner..$600-650 would probably have bought it..

Thats a shame about all those tractors in Texas going to the scrapper...Its just hard to save them all..

We will be waiting for the story about the Texas combines..
