I have never seen a Ford combine like that. It almost looks like the logo was pressed into the side of it.
That would be cool hanging in my shop, but the rest looks nearly operational.
Has to be unique.

Until Sept 7th I had never been in Scottsville,KS...So,I dont know anyone there..Its a little village of 25 people about halfway between Beloit,KS and Concordia,KS..

Believe it or not there a salvage yard about 1 block from where the 611 Ford sits but you wouldnt want to call them...Theres a Coop elevator there and the Scottsville Community church..Other than that it looks like Scottsville died about 50 years ago..A few old business buildings still remain..

My 611 Ford came from the little village of St Joseph,KS which is SE of Concordia,KS...I think they had a real good Ford dealer in Concordia....My 1954 model 55 John Deere came from right NE of Beloit..

It would be nice if someone could save that 611 Ford as they arent real plentiful..I just wouldnt know how to go about doing it without driving there and asking around....Its sitting at the edge of the old school yard at the south end of town..The old school building is falling down..

Ford 611 combines were built from 1959-63..They are
actually a 25 Oliver except that they have a Ford 223 OHV
engine where the Oliver had a flathead Continental 6..Oliver
put the Ford oval on the sides of the combine..

It looks like some over 1000 Ford 611's were built but not
many have survived..Mine is pictured on the trailer..

I also scanned my 611 Ford and 25 Oliver combine sales
literature..

Also here is a tractor picture from the south edge of
Gypsum,KS that I had intended to put with the first post..

Okay thanks. It looks like they have the Ford oval on the rear though, at least in the picture of the one in the tree.

My Grandma and Grandpa lived in Scottsville in it's haydays.....cool little town and actually it is between Glasco and Jamestown........heheeee....north of Glasco and South of Jamestown.......all that area is my stomping ground as I am from Courtland. I will be searching for that A though as I would like the cab to put on MY A..........thanks for the pics

Here are a few pictures from your old stomping grounds of
Scottsville,KS...I was thru Courtland on Sept 7th..I was on
my way up to Lovewell to take pictures..I had missed it
when I was in your area in May taking pictures..

Heres where that A Gleaner is located..From the road on
Hwy 9 where you go north up to Scottsville,go 1/4th mile
west..Then turn south on the road that goes down to
Asherville..It wont be long until you see the A Gleaner in a
pasture on your left..On south of it is that 303
International..

If you are in Scottsville Ford9000Puller might appreciate it
if you can find out whom owns that 611 Ford combine by
the old school..

And Lovewell is a cool little town..........all the pines by the curve were going to be a Christmas tree farm that was started by Vanmeters......then the old elevator burned when I was a kid and my Grandpa and I watched it on way back from fishing at the lake........and if you go to the lake there is a house on the south side on top of the hill..........that is my Grandma's house who used to live in Scottsville......

It would be interesting to talk to who owns it if anyone knows to see if it could be bought. It would be a big trip to get it back here to central missouri but it would be very neat to have. There used to be one behind the old dealer in Buffalo MO but it has been gone for years. You just never see these anywhere.

Heres the old school,an old store, and the old railroad depot
plus probably where the grain elevator was..Its kind of a
scenic area...

I hauled my 611 Ford 300 miles home to MO..Hopefully Flewster can find out something for you..It would be nice to see it saved..A few years ago there was a 611 Ford west of Emporia,KS along Hwy 50...

Did you know the Breshear Brothers at Buffalo that pulled a 6000 Ford many years ago? I have a picture of it..

I haven't been to Lovewell in many years but my family used to visit Clinton and Betty Reynolds over there. We would go to look at the school building and walk around. My sister says when she was in Jr Hi the school was open and they went over from Burr Oak and played basketball there. That was when they were building the dam and had plenty of construction crews families there.

I haven't thought of Jamestown in years also. We used to go play football and basketball there before they closed the school.

I hope I can learn something too. I did not know them. I would love to see that picture though. We have a 61,a 63 and a 67 Commander 6000's . We used to pull the red 61 and now play with it in the field some. There is a video of it plowing on youtube under 1961 Ford 6000 Plowing if you want to check it out. Where are you located. We are in California which is 20 miles west of Jeff City. Do you have any other ford equipment?

1206swmo,my bought a oliver 25 new in 1960.It had the fold down rad. screen like the 611.send me a email with a phone#,I would like to talk about those combines.thanks Kenny

I watched the plowing video..Thats a very nice early 6000..I"m old enough that I was at the introduction for them at my home town of Nevada,MO..They set up a tent, had a meal, introduced the 6000,and then everyone that wanted could test drive a 6000 plowing...They sold one that evening..

When going to the NTPA-Outlaw pull at Jeff City we always stop at McDonalds in California..I remember the Kendricks and Schobys that pulled from there..

The first two pictures are of the Breshears Brothers national level light super stock 6000 Ford puller..These are at Bethany,MO in the mid 1970"s and werent taken by me...

The rest of the pictures are a good friends (3) Ford pullers that lives 10 miles from me..

The 6000 pulls the 4,700 lb 10 mph class and will be the Spring River champ this year..He made his own fiberglass grill..

The 8000 pulls the 6,250 and 8,000 lb 10 mph classes and has won several times.

He lets a friend pull the 9600 Ford in the 8,000 and 10,000 lb 10 mph classes..It will be the 8,000 lb class champ this year and 2nd at 10,000..Its had some pump work and has a nice lope to it..

The only Ford I have is the 611 combine..

Yep that Lovewell.......funny how they never tore down the elevator as that was 35 years ago that it burned. Looks like someone is using the old school for more than the cattle shed it was used for for a while.

Thanks for the pictures!!! Its cool to see any pictures of the 6000's. And any other ford pullers. I've got a 9000 I pull some and we have a 9000 and 8000 we use on the farm, along with our other Fords, we have a total of 20 tractors and have started buying some red implements. Know of any rare implenents down your way? How did your neighbor get his 6000 so light? My brother had one we put the 363 dorsett ford diesel from a TR70 in and he made a fiberglass nose and it weighed around 5200. I'll stop rambling for now. I could talk Fords all day. My dad started at the Ford dealer that was in California when he was a junior in high school in 66 and worked there for 22 years so I was born and raised on red and blue tractors.

Your Dad is the same age as me..I had two neighbors with Fords and they are long gone....One had an 8000 and a 6000 Commander...AS for red Ford implements they may be tough to find..

My friend did lots of work to get his 6000 down to 4400 lbs with no driver..You will have to come see him pull sometime..He has 3 pulls left this year,Cassville Sept 22,Friestatt Oct 6th,and Mt Vernon Oct 13th..His 8000 Ford is only 5 pts out of 1st place in the 6250 class but theres a 666 IH thats tough..

I was amazed that he could get the 8000 Ford down to 5800 lbs with no driver..
