Gleaner A low oil pressure

Have a 57 Gleaner A with the allis motor. Oil pressure starts out at about 15 then drops to 5 to 7 after warmed up. Seems to run fine. How hard is it to pull oil pump on this motor and will that require motor removal. IF that is case I might as well rebuild whole motor.

Any Ideas on how to boost oil pressure?

What are you running for oil? Is it new oil in the machine? On all of my older engines I use 30. Also check your level and the oil, it could be getting dilluted by fuel.

Running 30 weight oil.

Low oil pressure is usually the result of worn main, rod, or camshaft bearings. A friend of mine increased the oil pressure in his tractor by shimming up the relief valve on the side of the engine block. If I remember correctly he used a coin and did it right in the field at a coffee break. I own that tractor now and it still runs great. Your engine may have a similar setup.
